On Friday, October 2nd, 2020, during a moment of sacrificial devotion, Dr. Samuel Ojo received a life-defining mandate from the Lord. The instruction was both clear and compelling: “Establish a citadel of learning where teachers will teach and learners will learn under the influence of the Holy Ghost.”
That may sound like a ministry-and indeed, it is. Glybridge is both an educational institution and a spiritual mandate, uniquely designed to raise a generation of intellectually sound individuals who are deeply rooted in the fear of the Lord.
To fulfil this assignment, we draw daily from two eternal arsenals—the power of spiritual vitality and the force of intellectual prowess. This dynamic blend enables us to mould destinies that will not only excel in academics but also stand out in character, innovation and social impact.
Though we are spiritually grounded, we do not negotiate the discipline of diligence. Our relentless pursuit of excellence mingled with spirituality has led to a steady and remarkable increase in student enrolment into Glybridge Schools, affirming the effectiveness of our approach to education.
Each school day at Glybridge begins with intentionality and passion. By 7:00 a.m., students arrive and settle into a 45-minute morning prep in class clusters under the supervision of school prefects and duty staff, who ensure adherence to standard library discipline.
Simultaneously, other staff members gather for a 45-minute morning service-an atmosphere charged with prayer and worship to invoke God’s presence and set the spiritual tone for the day. By 7:45 a.m., soft melodies from the school keyboard signal the transition to the morning assembly or sports session, depending on the day. The assembly lasts for 35 minutes and features student-led praise and worship, followed by a soul-stirring moral or intellectual talk.
After the assembly, faculty members proceed to their respective classrooms for intensive, value-driven instruction. One of the hallmarks of Glybridge is the calibre of its educators—seasoned professionals of academic distinction and moral excellence.
